Whole Food. Whole Nutrition. Wholy Cow!

Whole Food; Whole Nutrition

Whole food supplements are superior to synthetically made supplements. Natural is better. It’s just that simple.

As part of the West Clinic Family, you are the beneficiary of a century (100 years) of clinical research. That’s right for 100 years, we have been refining the clinical protocols that consistently help people feel better. One of the most important parts of this research is the use of whole food supplement vitamins!

Whole food supplements are superior to synthetically made supplements for a number
of reasons. The body metabolizes isolated high potency
nutrients like a
super nutrient as in
the case of Vitamin
Infusion Therapy
 (VIT). It’s like hitting
 the body/system
 with a nutritional sledgehammer. That’s
 why it is so effective
for treating chronic disease, infection and fatigue.

To help provide the vitamins and minerals today’s food may be lacking, whole food supplements are the answer.

“If you or your patients were to ingest a product like the majority of those available on the market today, you would still have a vitamin deficiency, simply because the vitamins in these supplements are only fractions of the complete key. Thus, they are not usable on the cellular level. In actuality, these synthetic or crystalline “vitamins” are not really vitamins at all. They are only fragments of a complete vitamin. Synthetic vitamins, as their name implies, are produced artificially by chemical means. They are synthesized primarily from corn sugar or corn syrup and non-food compounds such as coal tar.” Coal tar, by the way, is a bi product of petroleum refining and is linked to eye damage and cancer.

As a nation, we eat poor-quality foods that have been stripped of nutrients. We do not consume enough fresh fruits and vegetables. Many of us get our whole grains from instant rice, refined wheat breads, pastas, and cereal. We eat a tremendous amount of prepackaged, pre- made meals. One-quarter of Americans eat at fast food restaurants each day. Americans are overfed and undernourished.

There is good news: given proper nutrition, the human body has an amazing ability
to heal itself. To do so, we need to eat a healthier diet, exercise, and take high-quality supplements made from whole foods. Whole food supplements supply our bodies with

nutrients we are not getting from our diet, all the vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, and phytonutrients that foods possess in a way that nature intended, in a whole food form.

Dr. Agnes Faye Morgan further proved the apparent danger of synthetic supplements with a study at the University of California at Berkeley.

  • She fed one group of 100 dogs a diet of raw whole foods.
  • The second group of 100 dogs were fed a “junk-food” type diet.
  • The third group of 100 dogs were fed the same “junk-food” diet as the dogs in group 2 with synthetic fractionated vitamin supplements added.

Dr. Faye herself was stunned at the results. She found that the group 3 dogs fed the synthetic supplements died 20-30% sooner than the junk food diet dogs in group 2 who received no synthetic supplements.
The dogs on whole foods thrived.

supplements-herbsThe bottom line is that no mega-dose, fractionated part of a food or vitamin works near as well as the whole food synergist parts working together. Ten or twenty transmissions do not drive you down the road like one car with a well-functioning transmission with the engine, steering wheel, tires, and all the other synergistic parts of the car working together. Whole foods and whole food supplements work the same way a fine tuned engine does, only better.

“If these incomplete “vitamin” supplements have been proven to be ineffective and even harmful, why would health companies continue to market such products? The answer is simple: PROFITS! Health companies can make a much larger pro t by selling the public cheap imitations of vitamins rather than using the time, money, and research necessary to create superb, true whole food vitamin supplements.

Here’s a very important fact to take note
of. In the last several years, over half of all nutrition companies have been bought out by pharmaceutical companies.”
