Friends, do you go on vacation?

What kinds of vacations do you like going on?

I think every human needs vacations throughout the year to re-set and re-boot your body and mind. I make sure and take a week in the summertime and a week in the wintertime. It's really good for my mental health to take a break and get back to nature.

My favorite vacations in the summer are camping trips. I love to take a week and go to remote areas without cell phone service to camp. I love to get on my paddleboard and paddle out into the middle of a lake or pond and just listen to music and paddle. Clear my mind and breath in the fresh air. My hubby and son love to fish so I'll paddle them all around in a canoe and let them fish while I suntan. We like to sit around the campfire singing and telling stories about the good old days while eating yummy food and laughing until our stomachs hurt.

For my winter vacations, I like to get the heck out of dodge and go somewhere tropical. The ocean is my absolute happy place. I love to wave dive, snorkel, swim with sharks, boogie board, drink a yummy drink, and eat so much food until my stomach wants to explode! My favorite vacation was in 2018 when I took my then 18-month-old to Playa del Carmen! It was so fun to see him playing in the ocean and making sandcastles! He was loved by everyone there, they loved his red hair and huge smile! I love to sit on a cabana chair close my eyes and take in the breeze, listen to waves crashing, and smell the ocean! I love to get out of cold snowy Idaho and go somewhere warm so that I can get a tan! I love being tan! Being tan makes me confident and happy! I feel like everyone needs vacations in their lives. Take some time to be with family and unwind!

Where is your favorite place to go on vacation?
