Are you wondering what to do with all those leftover Easter Eggs?

Here's a recipe for a new spin on an old classic. 

Spicy Avocado Deviled Eggs

(The spicy part can be optional) 

Ingredients: 

  • 6 Boiled Eggs 
  • 1 Avocado, Halved and Peeled 
  • 4 Slices of Turkey Bacon, Chopped
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons of Mayonaise 
  • 2 Teaspoons Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1 Clove of Garlic, Crushed 
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • Sea Salt to Taste 
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper, Sliced (Optional) 

Directions: 

  1. Peel boiled eggs, cut in half (longways), and scoop out yolks into a separate bowl. 
  2. Add avocado, 2/3 of chopped turkey bacon, mayo, fresh lime juice, garlic, cayenne pepper, and sea salt. 
  3. With a mixer, combine ingredients until smooth 
  4. Spoon mixture into a piping bag or plastic bag with a snipped corner. 
  5. Pipe filling into eggs white halves. 
  6. Top with turkey bacon and a slice of jalapeno. 

Nutrients per serving: 

  • 105 Calories 
  • 4.6 grams of protein 
  • 2.2 grams of carbohydrates 
  • 8.8 grams of fat
