Behind the curtain at the West Clinic

West Clinic Team Member- Tori
Hi everyone, Tori here. I am excited to share with you what it’s like behind the scenes at the West Clinic. This is a day at the office.

First of all, it’s life changing. Misty told me when I started here 6 years ago, that you will hear people’s stories that you’ll never forget and you’ll see people’s lives changing in a way that you get excited and will go home and tell your family and they won’t believe you. It’s true. We see the highest of highs when we help people and we see the bottom of the roller coaster when we see people that have been misdiagnosed, don’t respond to medical treatments, or mistreated – like just take this antidepressant because it’s all in your head. I hate hearing that.

So, I was working in the beautician/salon space and one of our clients was also getting treated at the West Clinic. This patient was raving about how good they felt, so I decided to go in and offer my skills – of course, I was hired immediately.
Jodi decided to take me under her wing. She has been my rock since the begging. Best motivator and teacher on the planet. On that first day of work, she had me just answering phones even though I had no idea what I was doing. It was the best way for me to learn how to answer questions.

Besides helping answer reception questions, I start my day with checking on people’s programs and packages and how I can help the team and patient to have a great experience. I help coordinate treatment program, checking on the status of labs and coordinate the schedule for treatments, re-evaluation and renewals.
I help patients with paperwork and enter the treatments into the system and coordinate with the assistants (Gina or Cora). I also may help with write up of Nx and coordinate the reschedule for patient’s next appointments. Once the patient leaves, I scan in their update sheet and put in the patient’s file – all the while – answering phones, talking to patients, and coordinating the day.

Best job, I have ever had and the best part is seeing people out of hope or medical recommendations and watching them change. It’s great. More on the day to day on the next blog – Tori 😊
